I. About Yunnan University of Finance and Economics Bangkok Business School

Located in the northern part of Kunming, also known as the “Spring City”, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE) spans 2,133 mu (about 142 hectares). Founded in 1951, it was recognized as a provincial key university by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province in 1995. Positioned as a multidisciplinary institution with a focus on economics and management and fostering growth in law, literature, science, engineering, and the arts, YUFE is authorized to award bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. YUFE comprises 16 schools and 1 teaching department and offers 66 undergraduate programs, 12 master’s programs in primary disciplines, 17 professional degree master’s programs, and 4 doctoral programs in primary disciplines across 15 sub-majors. It also houses several research institutions, including the Institute of Tourism and Cultural Industries, the Institute of Land Resources and Sustainable Development, the Indian Ocean Region Research Center, and the Public Policy Research Center.

Yunnan University of Finance and Economics Bangkok Business School was officially approved by China’s Ministry of Education on December 31, 2013, as an overseas educational institution. It was jointly established by YUFE and Rangsit University in Thailand, making it the first overseas educational institution set up by a university in Yunnan Province. It is also one of only four overseas institutions approved by the Ministry of Education to offer degree programs abroad, and the first Chinese institution to offer degree programs in Thailand.

II. Admission Categories of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics Bangkok Business School

This program is a “4+0” dual-degree undergraduate program in international business, run entirely overseas. It involves collaboration with Rangsit University and Phetchabun Rajabhat University in Thailand.

The dual-degree program is currently open to undergraduate students enrolled at Thai universities. According to the agreement reached by both sides on the fields of cooperation, the Chinese side offers the international business program, and the Thai side offers a program under business administration. Both sides have developed a joint dual-degree training plan and mutually recognize academic credits.

Students who complete all required courses and pass the thesis review will be awarded a bachelor’s degree in international business from YUFE (China) and the bachelor’s degree in a relevant business administration major from the Thai partner university.
