On August 29th, University Party Committee member and Vice President Kuang Jinyun was invited to attend the launch event for the "China-Laos Railway International Multimodal Transport Information Service Platform" in Kunming. Alongside leaders from the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport and other organizations, she jointly launched the initiative to develop the China-Laos Railway Freight Price Index.

Hosted by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport and CRRC Shijiazhuang Co., Ltd., the launch event was themed "Digital Intelligence Driving the Southbound Corridor, Smart Connectivity for Dual Circulation." It illustrated how the deep integration of digital technology and smart logistics can upgrade the China-Laos Railway from a physical "hard" corridor into an efficient, transparent, and intelligent digital "soft" connectivity platform, thereby enhancing the resilience and efficiency of the entire supply chain.

At the event, Associate Professor Jin Liping from YUFE's School of Logistics and Management Engineering delivered a detailed presentation on the development plan for the freight price index. Spearheaded by YUFE's Modern Logistics Industry College, the index aims to become a key quantitative indicator and a vital decision-making tool for international multimodal transport services along the railway. It holds significant importance for supporting international cooperation and interconnectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the event, faculty and students from YUFE's School of Logistics and Management Engineering engaged in extensive discussions with experts from government agencies, corporations, industry associations, and research institutions from China and abroad. These exchanges have laid a solid foundation for YUFE's Modern Logistics Industry College to continue contributing to the development of the regional and national logistics industry, with a focus on the deep integration of government, industry, academia, research, and application.
