On December 22, Zhao Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Xishuangbanna Prefectural Party Committee and Secretary of the Jinghong Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to inspect the Yunnan Modern Logistics Industry College of our university. The two sides held a symposium and exchange on the construction of the university's Modern Logistics and Supply Chain Big Data Service Platform, reaching a preliminary consensus on school-local cooperation and laying a solid foundation for promoting substantive collaboration in the next stage. Wang Min, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President, and Vice President Kuang Jinyun attended the meeting. Lu Qicheng, Director of the Office of Academic Affairs, presided over the session.

Zhao Gang focused on the development of the logistics industry in Xishuangbanna, explaining the current status of major ports, the development of the industrial park economy, import and export statistics, and the cultivation of the digital economy within the prefecture. Highlighting Xishuangbanna’s advantages in resources, industry, ecology, and location, he expressed the hope to leverage the university’s expertise in logistics management, port economy, and information technology to carry out school-local cooperation and exchanges.

The Modern Logistics and Supply Chain Big Data Service Platform, built upon the Yunnan Modern Logistics Industry College, serves as a key driver and reform "experimental field" for the university to deepen the integration of industry and education and to support industrial development. Kuang Jinyun stated that since its establishment, the college has consistently adhered to the dual-driven philosophy of "enterprise scenarios for teaching, and provincial strategies for think-tank support." With strong support from all sectors, a series of phased results have been achieved. Moving forward, in accordance with the consensus reached at the symposium, the university will further urge relevant schools and departments to maintain continuous communication with relevant units in Xishuangbanna, aiming to develop cooperation projects that bolster high-quality development for both parties.

Liu Sen, Vice Dean of the School of Logistics and Management Engineering, introduced the major achievements of the Modern Logistics and Supply Chain Big Data Service Platform in areas such as government services, teaching and research, talent cultivation, school-enterprise cooperation, and social service.

Relevant heads from the Xishuangbanna Prefectural Finance Bureau, Prefectural Commerce Bureau, Jinghong Municipal Commerce Bureau, Municipal Finance Bureau, and the Key Project Headquarters, as well as representatives from the university’s Office of Academic Affairs, Social Cooperation Office (Alumni Affairs Office), School of Logistics and Management Engineering, and the Modern Logistics Industry College, attended the symposium.
