Delegation Led by President Nathawat Ongchavalitkul of Thailand’s Vongchavalitkul University Visits YUFE

On the morning of March 30, a delegation led by Nathawat Ongchavalitkul, President of Vongchavalitkul University in Thailand, visited Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. The two sides held discussions on deepening practical inter-university cooperation and advancing the implementation of China-Thailand education cooperation projects. Yan Ming, Vice President of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, attended the event and introduced the university’s overall educational development to the delegation.

Yan Ming stated that the university attaches great importance to its exchanges and cooperation with Vongchavalitkul University. He noted that the two sides had previously signed a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement on an undergraduate education program, and expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to move the cooperation into a substantive implementation stage.

Nathawat Ongchavalitkul highly recognized YUFE’s educational strength and achievements in distinctive development. He expressed the hope that the two universities would coordinate efforts around three core areas—talent cultivation, academic research, and discipline development—and systematically advance student exchanges, faculty visits and joint research, as well as the development of特色 academic programs and an internationalized curriculum system.

Those attending the meeting included Jiang Jun, Assistant to the President of Vongchavalitkul University; Atit Tiwassasit, Dean of the School of Business Administration; Lalitphan Panyanak, Director of the International Office; Yu Yong, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of YUFE; Pan Xuedong, Dean of the School of Overseas Education; Ma Yi, Executive Dean of Bangkok Business School; and other relevant personnel.
