On March 16, 2026, a delegation led by Ms. Chaniporn Phumanee, Head of International Cooperation Projects at Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University of Thailand, visited Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. The two sides held talks at the School of Overseas Education. Yan Ming, Vice President of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, met with the visiting delegation. The meeting was chaired by Pan Xuedong, Dean of the School of Overseas Education, and the two sides held in-depth exchanges on matters including the deepening of educational cooperation.

On behalf of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, Pan Xuedong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University. He noted that China and Thailand are close both geographically and culturally, and that educational cooperation has always been an important component of bilateral relations. He said the university attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Thai universities and looks forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to work with Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University to explore new models of cooperative education.

Ms. Chaniporn Phumanee expressed sincere thanks for the university’s warm reception. She said that, on the basis of the good communication already established between the two sides, she hoped to accelerate the substantive implementation of cooperative education projects and build a broader platform for Thai students to study in China and for Chinese students to participate in exchanges in Thailand.

Participants at the meeting engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University’s “3+1” undergraduate program. Both sides agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism and accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects, and they preliminarily decided to launch the “3+1” program in September this year. The two sides also discussed cooperation on the Bangkok Business School project.

This visit further enhanced mutual trust between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for future substantive cooperation at multiple levels and across a wide range of fields.
