The 28th China University Tennis Championship, a major national event, kicked off its regional qualifiers across eight zones in June 2025. Over 130 university teams are competing for 32 coveted spots in the national finals. The Southwest Division tournament began on June 5th at Kunming University of Science and Technology.
Under the guidance of the PE Department and coach Lu Neng, the YUFE team underwent a rigorous six-week intensive training camp on weekends at the Anning campus. The eight-member team representing YUFE included Hong Ruilong, Ma Zhouyu, Wang Tangdi, Wang Yike, Wang Jiayi, Yu Xiaohan, Lang Di, and Duan Yuhan.

Throughout the competition, the YUFE players demonstrated exceptional teamwork and a tenacious, never-say-die spirit. With superb skill and seamless coordination, they advanced through the rounds, defeating formidable opponents including Beibu Gulf University, Kunming University, Yunnan University, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Yunnan Agricultural University, and Guilin Medical University before their final victory. The women's team also delivered a strong performance, securing a respectable fifth place in the tournament.
