On June 5, a 13-member delegation of faculty and students from Western Carolina University (WCU), led by Professor Gary Michael Curnutt and Professor Cai Yue, visited Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE). The visit, supported by the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) program, included tours of the Anning Campus Library, the School of Communication and Design Art, and the School of International Languages and Cultures, where the group engaged in in-depth exchanges with YUFE faculty and students.

The delegation began their tour at the Anning Campus Library, learning about its history, collections, management model, and unique services. The visitors were deeply impressed by the library's student-centered learning environment, intelligent self-service systems, and efficient management.
At the School of Communication and Design Art, the group toured various studios, viewed student artwork, and participated in a class alongside Chinese students. Later, at the School of International Languages and Cultures, faculty and students from both universities held a discussion. Professor Gary Michael Curnutt expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements and provided a brief overview of Western Carolina University and its business school, stating his desire to expand areas of cooperation. Following the discussion, two faculty members from YUFE's Business School, Li Zhengxiong and Xi Guoqian, delivered a lecture to the visiting delegation on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Yunnan.
During their visit, the delegation also participated in traditional Chinese cultural activities, including making Dragon Boat Festival scented sachets and learning to wrap dumplings, which offered them a deeper, hands-on understanding of Chinese culture.
