Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE) has achieved a significant milestone in research, securing eight project grants in the 2025 Yunnan Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning Think Tank Program, according to a recently released list.
The eight approved projects, which include two key projects and six general projects, represent a new record for the university and place YUFE first among all universities in the province. This achievement highlights the university's growing strength and influence in the field of think tank research.
The newly funded projects are closely aligned with Yunnan's unique socioeconomic landscape and feature interdisciplinary approaches. They focus on critical areas such as economics (including the "Belt and Road" Initiative and green development), management, and sociology (with an emphasis on governance modernization). The research aims to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on Yunnan and provide high-quality intellectual support for the scientific decision-making of the provincial Party committee and government.
Moving forward, the university will continue to advance its organized research initiatives, strengthen project management and services, and promote the practical application and transformation of research findings. The goal is to generate high-impact results and make significant contributions to the high-quality development of Yunnan province.
