The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has announced its list of funded projects for the 2025 cycle, with Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE) securing an impressive 22 grants.

This achievement marks the first time the university has surpassed 20 funded projects for two consecutive years. The total includes five General Program grants, one Young Scientists Fund grant, and 16 Regional Science Fund grants. The number of General Program grants is a new record for YUFE, and the overall total of 22 projects is the second-highest in the university's history, second only to the results in 2024.

The funded projects are distributed across several academic departments of the NSFC: 17 are in the Department of Management Sciences, three in the Department of Earth Sciences, and two in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. At the university level, the School of Accounting, School of Finance, and Business School were among the top performers in securing grants.

This success follows a concerted effort by the university, which began with a 2024 research summary meeting and a mobilization conference for the 2025 "three major national funds" applications. The university and its various schools organized multiple coaching and review sessions, inviting numerous experts from both inside and outside YUFE to provide one-on-one mentorship for grant proposals. Research teams worked diligently to repeatedly revise and refine their applications, focusing on project selection, research methodology, content, and innovation.

Heartfelt congratulations are extended to all the faculty members who received funding. It is hoped that the entire faculty will continue this momentum and achieve even greater success in the 2_026 application cycle.
