To actively serve national strategies and implement the requirements for building Yunnan into a "Radiation Center facing South and Southeast Asia," Vice President Kuang Jinyun led a delegation to Vietnam from December 7 to 10. She was invited to attend the 6th Red River Basin University Presidents' Forum, hosted by Honghe University and organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) under Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

During the forum on December 8, Kuang Jinyun delivered a keynote speech in a sub-forum focusing on topics such as "China-Vietnam Linguistic and Cultural Research," "Regional Research and Education Cooperation," "Cross-border Trade Research," and "Strengthening STEM Student Exchanges and Internships." She shared the university's practices and insights in these fields and proposed suggestions for the collaborative development of Chinese and Vietnamese universities. She emphasized that the university is willing to deepen cooperation with USSH to explore new models for talent cultivation and scientific research innovation.

Concurrently, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education organized an education exhibition featuring 11 universities from Yunnan to showcase the province's achievements in higher education. Our university actively participated, highlighting its distinctive characteristics, academic strengths, and international exchange programs. Notably, students dispatched by the university in 2025 served as volunteers at the exhibition. With fluent communication skills and a professional demeanor, they assisted in the promotion efforts for the Department of Education and various participating universities, vividly demonstrating the spirit of YUFE students.

During the visit, Kuang Jinyun met with university students currently interning in Vietnam, learning about their studies and lives, and encouraging them to serve as friendly envoys for China-Vietnam cultural exchange.

The delegation subsequently visited the Vietnam University of Commerce and the Vietnam National University of Forestry on December 9. Discussions focused on business education cooperation, faculty and student exchanges, and joint research.

On December 10, the delegation visited Ha Long University in Quang Ninh Province to discuss projects in coastal economic management, tourism cooperation, and short-term student exchanges, laying the groundwork for future collaboration.
This visit has effectively enhanced the university's participation and influence in higher education cooperation within the Red River Basin, consolidated partnerships with key Vietnamese institutions, and expanded the cooperation network. The university remains committed to an open and integrated educational philosophy, serving regional economic development and cultural exchange to contribute to a closer China-ASEAN education community.
