From December 2 to 5, Wang Min, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President, led a delegation on the university's inaugural visit to Sweden. The delegation visited the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sweden, Uppsala University, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

At the Chinese Embassy, Wang Min expressed his gratitude for the guidance and assistance provided by the embassy for this exchange visit and introduced the university’s development and international cooperation. Li Rui, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy, commended the university's efforts, introduced the 2025 Swedish Higher Education Overview, and offered suggestions for the university's participation in China-Sweden educational cooperation.

At Uppsala University, Wang Min and his delegation held talks with Vice-Rector Prof. Joakim Palme and Dean of the Business School Prof. Peter Thilenius. Wang Min expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation with top-tier Swedish universities to drive the high-quality development of our university. He proposed establishing a normalized mutual visit mechanism to explore models such as faculty and student exchanges, joint supervision, and the co-construction of research teams. He also suggested expanding paths for cooperative education, jointly developing international programs, and integrating superior resources for joint research and academic events to enhance scientific and technological innovation capabilities.

Both sides agreed to initiate cooperation through scholar visits and joint research, with relevant departments assigned to follow up on implementation. During the meeting, the two parties also explored potential cooperation in cutting-edge fields such as sustainable development, digital commerce, and big data applications.

While at Uppsala University, the delegation held several specialized exchange sessions with Prof. Ulf Holm (Head of the Department of International Business), Prof. Enrico Baraldi (Head of the Department of Marketing), Prof. Li Chuanzhong (Department of Economics), Prof. Einar Iveroth (Department of Accounting), and Dr. Su Cong (Department of International Business). Scholars from both sides shared their recent research directions and achievements, focusing on collaboration in sustainable development, green innovation, digital commerce, digital-intelligent finance, knowledge management, and big data applications.

At the Stockholm Resilience Centre of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Wang Min engaged in in-depth discussions with Senior Researcher Dr. Shruti Kashyap on interdisciplinary research areas, including sustainable development, resilience management, information science, and risk management, reaching a preliminary intent for cooperation.

This visit marks the first formal exchange between our university and Swedish higher education and research institutions. It not only expands the university's international "circle of friends" but also lays a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation with high-level European universities.
