On October 27, a seven-member delegation from the Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittiprittpundit Scholarship Association of Cambodia, led by H.E. Sok Sam Ang, visited the university. Kuang Jinyun, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, held a meeting with the delegation. The meeting was presided over by Pan Xuedong, Dean of the School of Overseas Education.

Kuang Jinyun extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed her appreciation for the association's efforts and achievements in promoting China-Cambodia educational cooperation. She introduced the university's explorations and results in international education, stating that the university would continue to strengthen its partnership with the association to jointly select more outstanding Cambodian students to study at YUFE. She proposed that both sides explore the expansion of cooperative education projects in Cambodia and the establishment of a "Phnom Penh Business School" to actively respond to the "Belt and Road Initiative" and inject new momentum into regional educational synergy.
H.E. Sok Sam Ang thanked Yunnan University of Finance and Economics for its acceptance and cultivation of Cambodian students and provided an overview of the Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittiprittpundit Scholarship Association. He noted that human resource development is a top strategic priority for the Cambodian government. He highlighted the significant increase in the number of applicants seeking to study in China in recent years, which reflects Cambodian students' recognition of and desire for Chinese higher education. He affirmed that the association would continue to follow standardized procedures to recommend high-quality students and expressed hope for further expanded cooperation with YUFE.
During the visit, H.E. Sok Sam Ang delivered a thank-you letter to the university from Dr. Pich Chanmony, wife of the Cambodian Prime Minister and Chair of the association’s Board of Directors. The letter expressed gratitude for the university's admission of 15 outstanding Cambodian international students recommended by the association in 2025.
Relevant personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Overseas Education attended the meeting.
