On October 27, the Sino-Australian Joint Program Presidents' Annual Meeting was held in Beijing. Vice President Yan Ming, along with Zhang Honglie, Dean of the International Business School, and Liu Lifang, Vice Dean, attended the meeting upon invitation.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Renée Leon, Vice-Chancellor and President of Charles Sturt University (CSU). She expressed her gratitude to the representatives of the Chinese partner universities for their contributions to the joint programs and introduced CSU's achievements in 2025 and its future development. She noted that CSU continues to deepen its "student-centered" educational philosophy, effectively enhancing students' global competitiveness and sense of belonging through digital teaching innovations and personalized support services. Committed to building a future-oriented education system, CSU remains dedicated to sincere cooperation with its four Chinese partner institutions to ensure the successful development of the joint programs.
Speaking on behalf of the university, Yan Ming systematically introduced the new breakthroughs YUFE has achieved in education, internationalization, discipline construction, and scientific research. Looking ahead, he proposed three initiatives for cooperation: deepening RCEP educational collaboration, focusing on AI and Big Data-driven educational innovation, and strengthening faculty exchanges and global teaching mechanisms. Using the metaphor "Cooperation is like planting a tree; the deeper the roots, the more fruitful the harvest," he expressed his expectation to continue working with Australian counterparts to cultivate more high-quality talents with a global perspective.
Representatives from the participating universities shared their respective developments and innovative achievements in 2025. They engaged in-depth discussions on improving the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of the joint programs, pledging to further enhance international talent cultivation to meet the demands of the modern era.
The meeting was also attended by Mike Ferguson, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Charles Sturt University, and relevant leaders from Jilin University of Finance and Economics, Yangzhou University, and Tianjin University of Commerce.
