From November 10 to 13, a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, led by Saithong Keobounlouang, Director of the General Office, visited our university. Vice President Yan Ming held a symposium and exchange with the delegation.

Yan Ming stated that China and Laos are linked by mountains and rivers, sharing cultural similarities as good neighbors, friends, comrades, and partners. The university will fully leverage its strengths in public management to provide high-quality courses for students recommended by the Lao Ministry of Public Security, cultivating professionals with an international perspective to contribute to "soft connectivity" and people-to-people bonds between the two countries. Within the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the China-Laos community with a shared future, the university will continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation with Laos in various fields, training core management personnel for Lao ministries and establishing local training bases to empower local education development with smart technology.
Saithong Keobounlouang expressed sincere gratitude for the university's support on behalf of the Lao Ministry of Public Security. He noted that the visit vividly reflects the alignment of policies and developmental directions between the two nations. He expressed hope that both sides would focus on educational empowerment and multi-field synergy, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of existing projects while actively exploring new cooperation opportunities to respond to the bilateral consensus of co-construction and sharing.
Attendees included Yu Yong, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office; Pan Xuedong, Dean of the School of Overseas Education; Liu Dairong, Dean of the School of International Languages and Cultures; Tang Lin, Director of the Vientiane Office of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Promotion Association; and relevant personnel from the School of Overseas Education.
