YUFE Vice President Yan Ming Attends 18th Vatel Annual Conference in Bahrain

Vice President Yan Ming, Member of the University Party Committee, and Wang Zhihui, Deputy Dean of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, attended the 18th Annual Conference of Vatel Group in Bahrain from February 12 to 16. The conference gathered over 100 representatives, including Karine Sebban-Benzazon, newly appointed Chairman of Vatel Group, Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Eric Giraud-Telme, French Ambassador to Bahrain, and directors from Vatel’s 50 global campuses.

The conference comprehensively analyzed global tourism market trends and young people’s travel demands and preferences, while engaging in in-depth discussions about new practices in Vatel’s curriculum development for 2025.

Vice President Yan held talks with Ms. Karine Sebban-Benzazon, reviewing the decade-long development of the Vatel program at YUFE. They discussed plans to jointly establish a “Chinese-French Culinary Skills Service Enhancement Practice Course” to improve YUFE hotel management students’ practical skills in Chinese cuisine, Western cuisine, coffee, tea art, and wine appreciation. Karine expressed gratitude for YUFE’s participation in the conference and its long-term support of the program, hoping for continued collaboration to advance the program's development. Vatel Group will send experts to YUFE in March 2025 to evaluate the program’s talent cultivation plan, curriculum development, and faculty team building.

During the conference, Vice President Yan also engaged in detailed discussions about Vatel program development with Zhang Xiaoming, Vice President of Anhui Huangshan University, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Stephen SEE, Principal of Vatel Singapore Campus.
