Party Secretary Chen Hong Elected to CAHE Finance Council

From December 13 to 14, the 4th Membership Representative Congress and the 2025 Annual Academic Conference of the Finance and Economics Education Branch of the China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) were held at the Central University of Finance and Economics. Lin Huiqing, President of the CAHE, and Wu Shixing, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 400 participants, including leaders from 101 domestic universities, experts, scholars, and representatives of teachers and students, attended the event.

In accordance with the procedures for the general election, the representatives reviewed and approved the work report of the previous Council, the report of the Board of Supervisors, and the financial report, as well as the work rules and development plans for the new Council. The 4th Council and Board of Supervisors were elected, and Chen Hong, Secretary of the University Party Committee, was elected as a Standing Director.

During the event, three parallel seminars were organized. Leaders and member representatives from finance and economics universities and relevant departments of comprehensive universities across the country conducted exchanges and discussions under the theme "Questions of the Times and Actions in Finance and Economics: Discussing the Future Prospect of the Branch Development." They engaged in-depth discussions regarding the challenges and opportunities facing higher finance and economics education, the Branch's work plans, and suggestions for future work. Invited to chair one of the seminars, Chen Hong gave a detailed introduction to the university’s general profile and its "123456" development strategy under the new situation. He shared his insights and experiences concerning common issues and challenges in the current field of higher finance and economics education and offered suggestions on how the Branch could better play its role as a leading platform.
