Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of recipients for the 2024-2025 "Excellence Award Scholarship (Teaching Fund) for University Graduates in Primary-level Employment." Deng Tao, a 2021 graduate of Zhonghua Vocational College at our university, was honored with the "Excellence Award for University Graduates in Primary-level Employment." Nationally, 418 students and 58 teachers were recognized for the 2024-2025 academic year, including 17 graduates and 2 teachers from Yunnan Province.

After graduating in 2021, Deng Tao responded to the national call and went to work in Aketash Town, Yecheng County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Over the past four years, she has remained rooted at the primary level, performing her duties with great dedication. Due to her outstanding performance, she was promoted to Fourth-level Executive Officer in her third year of work. She received "Excellent" ratings in her annual evaluations for three consecutive years, was awarded two commendations, and earned a personal Third-Class Merit in May 2025, fully demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of contemporary youth.
To guide graduates in their career choices and showcase role models in primary-level employment, the "Excellence Award Scholarship (Teaching Fund) for University Graduates in Primary-level Employment" was established in 2022. The program is guided by the Department of Student Affairs (Service Center for University Graduates Employment) of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry's Student Services and Quality Development Center. It is funded by the China Three Gorges Corporation and established by the China Education Development Foundation. The award honors university graduates with outstanding achievements in primary-level employment and teachers who have made significant contributions to supporting graduates in such roles.
