On November 25, Professor Sue Rigby, the new Principal of Edinburgh Napier University (UK), led a delegation on her first visit to the university. Chen Hong, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Vice President Yan Ming held work meetings with Principal Sue Rigby respectively.

Chen Hong extended a warm welcome to Sue Rigby and reviewed the 13-year history of friendly cooperation between the two universities. He spoke highly of the significant achievements of the joint undergraduate Finance program in talent cultivation and faculty exchanges. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a key opportunity to further expand collaborative majors and projects, particularly focusing on the development of "AI+" interdisciplinary subjects, to drive cooperation toward deeper levels and broader fields.

Sue Rigby expressed her sincere gratitude for the university's long-term support and collaboration, highlighting Edinburgh Napier University's latest developments in discipline construction, scientific research innovation, and artificial intelligence. She noted that the solid foundation and high degree of synergy between the two universities pave the way for deepening multi-level strategic cooperation and improving the quality of joint programs to provide students with a superior international growth experience.

Yan Ming held a working meeting with Sue Rigby and her delegation. The two sides engaged in productive consultations and reached a broad consensus on key areas such as deepening existing faculty and student exchanges and research cooperation, expanding new joint educational projects, and co-constructing international courses and laboratories.

During the visit, Sue Rigby also attended a meeting for freshmen of the 2025 Sino-UK Joint Undergraduate Finance Program, encouraging students to leverage the high-quality educational resources and cooperation platforms of both universities to broaden their international horizons and hone their cross-cultural communication skills.
