On November 17, our university signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Merchants Bank (CMB) Kunming Branch, accompanied by an unveiling ceremony for an Employment and Entrepreneurship Internship Practice Base. Attendees of the ceremony included Wang Min, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President; Yu Nutao, Vice President; Ji Hua, Party Secretary and President of CMB Kunming Branch; and Shu Jingyi, Vice President of the branch.
Wang Min reviewed the collaborative achievements between the two parties in areas such as joint party building, talent cultivation, and employment internships. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by CMB during the university's 2024 undergraduate education diagnostic assessment. He proposed that both sides use this agreement as a catalyst to reach "new heights" in talent cultivation by introducing CMB mentors to bring market dynamics and innovative cases into the classroom; to open "new tracks" in industry-university-research fusion by encouraging joint research between the School of Finance and CMB teams on digital finance and risk control; and to draw "new blueprints" for graduate employment through the joint internship base to help students transition seamlessly from academia to the workforce.
Ji Hua stated that as a vital base for cultivating financial and economic talent in Yunnan, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics shares broad prospects with China Merchants Bank in financial practice and collaborative talent development.
Yu Nutao and Shu Jingyi signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties.

Prior to the signing ceremony, the university delegation visited the digital exhibition hall and the private banking center of CMB Kunming Branch to learn about its innovative achievements in financial technology and digital transformation. During the visit, a "Visiting Enterprises to Expand Employment Channels" exchange was also conducted, during which the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, research cooperation, and internship and employment opportunities.
Relevant department heads from CMB Kunming Branch, along with officials from the university's General Office, Finance Office, Alumni Affairs Office (Zhong Zhengshan Art Gallery), Admissions and Career Development Center, and School of Finance, participated in the event.
